Gameplay A: Galaxy Exploration

Overview

The Galaxy world has existed for a long time, and the resources on most planets have long been exhausted. To maintain the development of their planets, owners need to form organisations of their planets, conduct Galaxy Exploration with "Planet Alliance", and obtain resources required for growth, including energy crystals, ores and spices. Galaxy Exploration is almost necessary if you want your planet's empire to grow. Planet Alliance consists of 5 planets, and different planets have different rarity, race, level, attributes and cultivation levels, all of which determine the comprehensive capability of a planet. In the process of Galaxy Exploration, different Planet Alliances will meet and battle. The victorious side can seize the resources in the losing side's storage tank, which will be a bonus in Galaxy Exploration. Thus, Galaxy Exploration is not only a journey of resource discovery but also a journey full of war games. Before setting out on an expedition, you need to recruit corresponding troops to be prepared, and you can place battle buildings to improve your chance of victory.

The battle's outcome depends on the number of troops, the attributes of battle buildings, the comparative strength of races, the characteristics of planets, etc. As the owner of Planet Alliances, you have much room for orchestrating.

Good luck on your journey, Lord!

Core Concept

Planet

How to get planets

Planets are the most minor units in the Planet Alliances and can be obtained in two ways:

1. Open Planet Box: Details will be released soon.

2. Buy planets which are sold by other players from the secondary NFT market directly.

3. After the game develops to a certain stage, the Discover system will be closed. Users can resort to the Collison gameplay and obtain Planet Blind Boxes by locking existing Planet NFTs and consuming $BNB and $BOX.

Planet Attributes

1. Rarity

Planets rarity from low to high: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic. Rarity is a natural attribute and cannot be changed. The higher the rarity, the lower the probability of getting it in a blind box. Rarity affects the number of buildings placed on a planet, the upper limit of planet level, and the likelihood in Breed Planet gameplay.

2. Level

Planets are divided into 10 levels. The level determines the buildings’ level limit on a planet. Only by continuously upgrading a planet can buildings’ levels be improved.

For a planet to be upgraded, certain conditions need to be met:

Planet upgrade requires BOX and devouring other planets to gain energy value. Planets with different rarities and different operation levels have different "Energy Values". The Energy Value of a planet is determined by the planet's level, rarity, building type (the Energy Value contributed by operation buildings is higher) and quantity. The higher these values, the higher the Energy Value. A planet can only be upgraded if it devours enough planet energy.

3. Cultivation Level

The higher the cultivation level of a planet, the better attribute enhancement for the troops on the planet.

The higher the cultivation level of a planet, the stronger the buff effect. A planet needs to consume BNB to improve its cultivation level, and the BNB will go to the Reward Pool.

From the perspective of the buff effect of cultivation levels, the specific cultivation level buff effects of different levels are also from low to high, corresponding to the difficulty and consumption of cultivation.

4. Planet Races

There are three major races in the Crypto Galaxy world: Terran, Zerg and Spacemen. Different races have different output efficiency and attributes, with unique buildings to choose from.

Specifically:

Spacemen: They have the highest resource exploration efficiency, with high defence and thick blood, mainly AOE attacks, fewer single-target attacks, and they have the upper hand over Terran

Zerg: They have medium resource exploration efficiency, with fewer AOE attacks and many constraining skills, and they have the upper hand over Spacemen

Terran: They have lower resource exploration efficiency, with many healing troops and low HP, and they have the upper hand over Zerg

Building

Building Types

Operation Building

1. Storage Tank

Storage tank’s function:

Storage tanks are a planet's most important building type, and each planet must build at least one storage tank. The resources obtained by operation buildings during Galaxy Exploration are stored in the storage tank, and there are no resources in the storage tank initially. Resources inside storage tank buildings will provide energy for planet buildings and keep them working properly; when a planet is in battle, the troop-producing resources are also supplied by storage tanks.

Storage tanks have a space limit; the higher their level, the more storage space they have.

You can build multiple storage tank buildings on a planet.

Resource replenishment and extraction of storage tanks:

In addition to the resources from operation buildings, tanks can be recharged directly using resource tokens.

The resources in the storage tank can only be withdrawn to the wallet after planets form a Planet Alliance. All planet storage tank resources in an alliance can only be withdrawn once, and 20% will be lost during the extraction.

2. Mine

Mine is the place to produce ore, one of the three core resources.

3. Energy Center

Energy Center is the place to produce energy, which is one of the three core resources.

4. Spice Refinery

Spice Refinery is the place to purify and refine spices, which is one of the three core resources.

Battle Building

1. Troop training base

A troop training base is a place to produce the battle troops of the corresponding race. With the upgrade of the training base, more types of battle troops can be unlocked, and the troops also have more robust Battle Effectiveness. In actual battle, the training base randomly produces battle troop types.

Each race has three training bases, which can produce different types of troops.

2. Psychic Tower

Psychic towers can provide battle units with buffs in various dimensions, including HP, SPD, ATK, DEF, EVA, and SPR.

Different types of Psychic Towers provide various buffs.

Psychic towers' buff effects from all planets in a Planet Alliance will be given to the troops who fight this time.

3. Cellar

After building a Cellar, the planet's resources being looted due to losing battle will be reduced by a certain percentage.

Building Attributes

Buildings share some common attributes, specifically:

1.Level

As their level increases, buildings’ work efficiency and capabilities will increase accordingly. For example, the productivity of operation buildings will become more robust, and the ability of battle buildings to support battle will increase. Building upgrades will consume BOX and various resources, of which 10% of the consumed BOX is directly burned, 20% goes to the Reward Pool for BOX Staking users, and 70% goes to the protocol treasury.

2. END (Endurance)

It represents the depreciation of a building. Buildings with an END of 0 cannot work: in such a state, operation buildings cannot produce resources, battle buildings cannot produce troops or release buffs effect. The initial value of buildings’ END is 100, which decreases by 10 per work hour; after a planet is defeated in a battle, the END of all buildings on it decreases by 10%.

Building’s END can be regenerated using ore and spice resources. Only when a planet is not in a Planet Alliance, you can open the interface of constructing and upgrading buildings and see the option to regenerate END. You can restore a single building’s END or all buildings’ END on the planet with one click.

3. Resource Consumption

Different buildings have different resource consumption rates in the working state of exploration.

4. Floor Space

Other buildings occupy different floor spaces. The amount of land on each planet varies according to its rarity. But it’s always limited. A proper plan is needed.

Planet Alliance

Why form a Planet Alliance?

If planets want to obtain resources, they must form a Planet Alliance to start a Galaxy Exploration. Only in this way will the productive buildings on each planet start to work correctly, and they will process the resources found during an exploration into energy, ores and spices.

One account can only form one Planet Alliance at a time.

Meanwhile, only Planet Alliance can occupy a star and obtain the corresponding star rewards (see “Gameplay Encyclopedia - Galaxy Tycoon” for details).

Exploration Rules

After placing 5 planets into an alliance, they can enter a working state.

After allying, players need to choose an exploration difficulty level. By exploring areas with greater difficulty, you can get resources faster, and the ratio of winning/losing resources in battle is also higher. Meanwhile, in the exploration session: based on the difficulty level you pick, you will be matched with real players of different levels to make a battle.

Select an area to be explored, click Start Exploration, and you will enter a 4-hour Galaxy Exploration course. Operation buildings will begin to produce resources and consume resources simultaneously.

There will be no battles for the first 1.5 hours of the 4 hours and no more than 6 battles in the remaining time. If you win a battle, you can get a particular share of the remaining resources from the opponent's tank, and vice versa, you will lose the corresponding percentage of your resources.

Battle Rules

After Planet Alliance triggers a battle, the two sides will randomly arrange the 5 planets in each alliance for battle. They will fight based on their respective planets’ troops and battle buildings. The team that wins ≥ 3 rounds wins the entire battle, and the winner can acquire the loser’s remaining storage tank resources from all planets in its Planet Alliance.

For the battle rules of specific troops, see Battle Manual. The detailed Battle Manual will be released before the launch of the game.

Gamers arrange Battle Lineup in Battle Room. The number and types of battle units on the map grids are closely related to planet levels and battle buildings’ attributes. After you build a Planet Alliance, the battle units will start to fight and deploy actions such as ATK, DEF, EVA or SPR according to your orchestrating and specific game rules. The combat process will reflect a certain depth of game strategy, such as attack behaviour after traversing all hostile targets, through the appropriate object, attack position, and other factors to judge before proceeding. Skills and BUFFs include locking up, freezing, burning, etc. The rich combination will bring randomness to the game and challenge gamers’ skills and decision-making.

With Planet Alliance, gamers must choose an area to start Galaxy Exploration, which lasts 4 hours. In this session, you will be matched with different levels of real gamers to fight according to your chosen difficulty level. During the 4 hours, there is no battle in the first 1.5 hours, and planets will perform only production work; the remaining 2.5 hours will see no more than 6 battles.

Victory or defeat depends on the number of troops, the battle buildings' attributes, the race's relative strength, etc. When a battle is triggered by a planetary alliance, the two sides will randomly arrange the 5 planets within each alliance to fight. The team that wins 3 or more rounds wins the entire battle. If a player wins a battle, they will get a specific share of resources from the opponent's storage tank, and vice versa, the player will lose the corresponding percentage of resources, and the percentage of resources looted will be divided according to the exploration difficulty.
